2012 In Review

Oregon CHERUBS reps & members
have been very busy throughout 2012!

February 11, 2012

Reps Shelly Moore & Christina Stembler and Hospital Angel Alicia Gilbert joined Christina's survivor Hunter & family at the Randall Children's Hospital's grand opening.

Randall replaces Legacy Emanuel's old NICU in the treatment of our most fragile warriors!

April 19, 2012
Rep Shelly Moore, Hospital Angel Alicia Gilbert & member Andrea Martin organized the first Oregon Parade of Cherubs in conjunction with 6 other cities across the United States (Seattle, Denver, Peoria, St. Louis, Chicago, Washington D.C.) & the UK to celebrate the first annual International Day of CDH Awareness at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon.

We had 5 survivor families and 1 angel family represented.
After a march around the hospital campus with our cherubs dressed in wings,
balloons and bubbles were lifted up in memory of those cherubs lost and
in honor of the survivors and CDH'ers to come.
Refreshments were served and the families had a chance to connect with each other
and hear about the effort to get a research bill into Congress for additional research and awareness.
For some it was the first time some of them had met another CDH family.
We are looking forward to an even bigger event for 2013!
